If only there was a simple cheat line that could revive our Sims upon typing it. But frankly speaking, there is no resurrect cheat and no shortcut that we can take to bring our Sims to life. The developers of The Sims 4, either by mistake or intent, didn’t put the option for us to use a cheat to revive characters whenever we wanted. And we’re left without much of a choice!

But, that doesn’t mean that there is absolutely no way to resurrect a dead Sim and spare them an eternity in the grave! There are a few tricks that we’ve learned over the years and that we all regularly use to not let the Grim Reaper have his way. Here we will talk about a few methods proven to be successful by thousands of simmers worldwide. These include reviving a dead Sim, as well as bringing a ghost Sim back to life.

How to Resurrect a Sim in The Sims 4?

The Author Career

If you didn’t know, the Author career is the surest way to revive a Sim, but only if they’re ghosts. The only thing you need to do is get one of your Sims to become a Bestselling Author and earn the Poetic Reward Trait. This unlocks the ability for them to write the Book of Life, which in turn can be used to bring a ghost back to life.

And while on that note, if you’re desperately trying to revive a ghost Sim, remember that you can use Ambrosia too. Ambrosia is a food that your Sims can learn and prepare it for the ghosts. The ingredients are Death Flower, Angelfish, and Potion of Youth. And when the ghost eats the Ambrosia, he will return to life!

The Move Object Cheat

• These Sims become Happy around Sims with negative Moodlets, can Laugh Maniacally and Discuss Evil Plans, and become Angry when interacting with Good Sims. When you first perform an action with an evil Sim you get a notification that more insight on the trait.
• Using a Computer to Perform Mischief in the Sims 4. Trolling the forums does not count as a way to perform mischief on the computer so you will need to get to Level 4 of the mischief skill, where you can send chain letters to sims, in order to complete this requirement.

This one is a bit tricky, but it works. First of all, enable your cheats by pressing SHIFT + CTRL + C and typing testingcheats true in the command console. Next, proceed with the move_object on cheat. Now, find the Grim Reaper in your game, select him and press “Delete” on your keyboard. Now, select your dead Sim and press “Delete” as well. And after you’re done, there should be a little “+” on the Sim’s icon. Clicking this will resurrect your Sim.

Do anything to get them playful, even the 4 hour long +1 moodlet you get from browsing Sims.tv is enough. Then have them drink a happy potion. And using the MC Command Center will probably be the easiest method that you can do. If you haven’t heard of it before (you must live on an island), the MC Command Center is a complete Mod that enhances everything in the game and gives you full control.

But to resurrect your dead Sim, you will only need to right-click their icon upon their death and open up the MC Command Center mod. Then you will need to go through the “Sim Commands” option and then the “Revive Sim” one. This will instantly revive your Sim as if they were never dead.
